Summer savory is an annual herb that resembles thyme and has the sweet, peppery flavour of sage and rosemary. Dainty, pale pink flowers appear in late summer.
Perfect for use as a ground cover or in containers and rock gardens. Use to enhance the flavour of poultry, meat, soups or salads. Makes a delicious tea by brewing the leaves.
Tolerates poor soil, heat and drought. Best in slightly alkaline, fertile but well-drained soil. Allow soil to dry between thorough waterings. Harvest foliage as needed.
